THE FOUNDER

I’m Oscar Rankins, a 17-year-old training to become the youngest ever Cairns Ironman competitor.

 

My journey has already pushed me through 5 marathons and an ultra marathon, teaching me firsthand that real progress isn’t flashy or easy, it’s built in the quiet, uncomfortable moments where most people quit.

 

That’s what “embracing the slog” means to me: showing up when it’s hard, staying consistent when motivation fades, and finding purpose in the grind itself.

 

I started Embrace The Slog to represent that mindset, not just for athletes, but for anyone chasing something bigger than themselves.
